CLARIFICATION ON THE TYPES OF CHECKS ACCEPTED FOR PAYMENT OF ONE-TIME TRANSACTION (ONETT)-RELATED INTERNAL REVENUE TAXES

Introduction

REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 109-2024

This clarifies the types of checks accepted as payment for taxes related to ONETT, pursuant to Revenue Memorandum Order (RMO) No. 49-2018, as amended.
 
With respect to ONETT-related taxes, taxpayers may pay over the counter using either cash or check at any Authorized Agent Banks (AABs) or Revenue Collection Officers (RCOs). However, there is a limit of twenty thousand pesos (₱20,000.00) cash payment that RCOs can accept.
 
As for payment thru check, both AABs and RCOs are directed to accept only Manager’s or Cashier’s Check, regardless of amount, to standardize the requirements and accelerate the verification process.
