REVENUE MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 043-2024
A key initiative in the BIR Digitalization Roadmap is the creation of a digital infrastructure for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). This initiative focuses on establishing a digital workplace for officials and employees, equipping them with the necessary tools and facilities to perform their jobs effectively.
The BIR has launched the Onehub Portal to enable online collaboration, giving employees quick access to essential information, news, announcements, and Bureau resources, along with a self-service feature for inquiries.
To improve mobility and online collaboration, the directive seeks to create a digital workspace for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Outlining the Onehub Portal’s content, designating who is responsible for updates, and establishing access guidelines for staff members who use Microsoft Office are important goals. The initiative will be led by a steering committee consisting of Deputy and Assistant Commissioners, with the Information Systems Group taking the lead in developing the portal. A welcome banner, news articles, links to employee services and pertinent organizations, reminders, motivational sayings, weather reports, and recent papers are just a few of the tools that will be centrally located on the Onehub Portal.
- Each of the five sub-sites on the BIR Onehub Portal—the Office of the Commissioner, Operations Group, Legal Group, Resource Management Group, and Information Systems Group—will be assigned to a particular group.
- Each group will have a Core Developer responsible for managing and maintaining their sub-site on the BIR Onehub Portal and granting access to authorized users.
- The BIR Onehub Portal is accessible to authorized Microsoft Office 365 users via the SharePoint application on Office.com or directly at https://birgov.sharepoint.com/sites/MainBIR.
- The Division responsible for Network Management and Technical Support will create a Security Access Matrix that will be approved by the assistant commissioner for information systems and operations services.
- The Head Revenue Executive Assistant (HREA) of the following offices will approve the final content for uploading or publishing in the BIR Onehub Portal.
